Flamenco Vivo Welcomes New Executive Director

Leslie Malmed, Executive Director, joined the Company in 2008. She comes to Flamenco Vivo from World Music Institute where for over nine years she handled all administrative aspects from box office, membership and tech to touring, arts education and booking. Ms. Malmed has independently collaborated on projects for National Geographic, The Edison Music Group and the World Foundation for Music and Healing. She is a graduate of NYU's Gallatin School and is the co-founder Mamadêlê Productions.

New York Ensemble Performs at Pregones Theatre

On May 30th 2008 Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana's New York Ensemble performs Flamenco Fiesta with a special performance by the Casita Maria Flamenco Kids.

A giant "Thank You" to American Express whose Cultural Heritage grant allowed us to create an exciting new home on the web. The newly designed site features photography by Lois Greenfield, an online registration page for our New York dance classes, and interactive photo and video galleries.
