Feedback about Project Olé from some of our Education Partners
We are completely impressed by Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana. The Residency was a great experience for the kids and something they will remember their whole lives. You guys made everything run so smoothly that it made the 5 weeks and the final show a really positive experience for all of us. I learned a lot myself, and I am thinking of taking a flamenco class this summer!

A lot of these kids, they don't get gym, they don't get art, they don't get music, and so this Spanish dance residency is really their only exposure to the arts. My kids really got into it, especially the boys, it's hard to get 11 year old boys up and dancing and they loved it.
It's neat to see them all come together; we practice in the classroom, we shove the desks out of the way, and they run around like little performers in the morning and I think it just gives them a real ego boost—and they're at a time right before junior high when they really need it.
Some of my shyest kids who won't talk, won't raise their hands, are in the front row during flamenco.
The students really do come together for this…a lot of kids that are sometimes real behavior problems or struggle academically rise to the top of this and it really gives them something to be proud of.
It's a really successful program.

Thank you to all the staff at Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana. The kids really had a great time. They are still talking about it. They cannot wait for next year. They are already making plan for it. Many more kids came to my office because they would like to participate next year.

The performance was fantastic! The materials provided were extremely helpful. It made it very easy to teach students about the origin of the flamenco dance and Spain's culture. I learned a lot in the process as well. The students were very excited before and after the performance. This program greatly supports the World Language Department district-wide in its teaching of language and cultural understanding to our students. My compliments to the performers for their enthusiasm and wonderful performance.

Our Kindergarten class loved the show very much. When we got back to the room we took out the instruments and started our own international dance. We love adding the movement and music to our large motor activities. Thank you!

Thank you!! As a Spanish teacher, I felt that the performance and the way that the performers interacted with the students was a real and fabulous cultural experience.

Thank you for all the effort you invest in bringing such quality performers to our students. I know that it takes a significant amount of time to select the artist, book the performances, and schedule them into the schools. The children of Fairfield benefit from your efforts and those of the other adults with whom you work.
